Cam Gigandet Sinking His Teeth Into Another Vampire Role

Cam Gigandet should be careful, or he just might start to get typecast as a vampire. And that would really suck.

Bloody Disgusting.com reports that Gigandet, who played carnivorous vampire James in Twilight, has signed on to play yet another bloodsucker in the upcoming comic-book adaptation Priest.

Gigandet—who's currently filming The Roommate with Leighton Meester and Minka Kelly—will star alongside Paul Bettany in the horror Western, which is set in a world that's been ravaged by centuries of war between man and vamp. Bettany will play a warrior priest who abandons the church to track down a cabal of murderous vampires who've kidnapped his niece.

Could yet another MTV Movie Award for Best Fight be in Gigandet's future?
