Vampire Diaries

Another CW show I've found myself slowly addicted to, and sort of in the same vein as Twilight. Just thought some other people might be fans of the show too. Looking forward to S2, it comes back a few weeks before SPN S6.

Can you tell in general what's the story about? I only heard the title before but nothing more.

Sure. Without giving too much away....

You have two brothers from the 1800s who were turned. Now we're in 2008/9 and one of them (the so-called 'good' one) comes back to the place they lived when they were human because he wants to get to know this human girl he's been watching all her life. There is a reason why but that gets explained. And the other brother basically has a vendetta against the 'good' brother and comes back to make his world miserable. But he too falls for this girl. There's a LOT of backstory between the two brothers, like the vendetta, and why this girl is important, but that gets shown during the series.

It's a lot better than it sounds on paper. I wasn't going to watch it cos it sounded cheesy and formulaic and typical teenage-y stuff, but it starts to grip you about 5 or 6 episodes in. Plus Damon (the bad brother) is very very hot (played by Ian Somerhalder). The other brother, Stefan, is a little Edward-esuq in his character, but with a bit of a dark edge. Not so hot until he takes his shirt off though

I got addicted to it for a few weeks ago, when they started to show it in my country, but i heard it before. I downloaded the first season and the next ep for me will be the 5th, if I have time and i don't feel dizzy... Stupid period.... I wanted to go to the swimingpool....

And you think you're addicted, wait till you get mid way through the season. I watched eps 8/9 all the way to 22 in one day!

I started to watch it but i had to break it to do some housework, I cleaned the house the whole week and I'll go and countinue it, I just had breakfast, but tomorrow I will have a maratoon of it. And I couldn't watch it last week coz I was too excited about the World Cup, but I'll watch it tomorrow.

Good girl! Marathoning it is the best way to watch IMO. It's different to SPN in that every single episode links into the next one, like there are no standalone bits of plot, so you kinda need to watch them back to back I think.

How'd it go? I'm DLing the last 2 eps to my iPod so I can watch it lying down in bed. xD

i have to broke watching it after the 7th ep, but I'll continue it

It starts to kick into full gear around ep11/12 so you're getting close.

I just watched today 2 eps before I went to the local pool, so the next one is the 9th one

I positively adore The Vampire Diaries! One of the best shows on tv. My favorite character would have to be Elena, she's a great role model

LOL Lola I adore it tooo! Elena kinda pissed me off at the start of the show, but she started getting more kickarse and less whiney as the season went on. I totally can't wait to see the Season 2 premiere, with how Season 1 ended!

I told you, Edi!!! I said, around ep11/12 is where the show just gets dangerously addictive. Really good, huh? Can't wait till you've caught up to ep22 so we can talk freely! Only another 6wks or so until S2 debuts xD

Yeh, you were right, but I don't have time to watch it, coz I need a lot of thing for uni and August will be busy for me, but I'll try to watch it untill the neww season come out, so we can talk about it.

Of of course, yeah, uni prep. Oh I remember that summer, twas one of the best summers ever. And the whole three years at Holloway were totally the best 3 years of my life.

But yeah, it'd be awesome if you were up to date by the S2 premiere. We could have a weekly chat about it, like we did for the end of SPN S5

Good girl! They go by pretty quick if you ever have like an entire afternoon off or something. That's how I watched the whole season, S5 onwards. I was sick at the weekend, so I just barged my way through the season all day Saturday and Sunday.

Yep, but I don't have any free afternoons coz I start to pack for uni, I have to move to an other town. I need a bigger suitcase than I have. A notebook and things like that. So I'm really busy. But I'll try to catch up as hard as I can. I'm really happy, coz I have been up in HQ a lot.

I know, this makes me happy too!! xD
