Most pointless character

There's this thread in TwiFo about Lizzie being the most pointless character in the Saga. I'm not gonna say she is. I'd rather hear your theories...

Lizzie without a doubt. Apart from that....Eric Yorkie. He has no reason to be in the book at all.

How about Mike Newton's mom?

Forgot about her. yeah she was pointless. But then the pointless characters are needed to flesh the story out and make it seem more real. Without those, Forks wouldn't seem like such a real place, like I wouldn't be able to imagine it properly.

haha what about collin and brody or brady or whatever their names were... the new werewolfs that got left behind during the newborn fight. and honestly i think Phil is pretty pointless too.

But like what was said if we want to imagine Forks as a real place we need other randoms every now and then because otherwise it wouldnt be realistic enough!

which proves the fact that he's soooo pointless. although i SUPPOSE he gave bella the excuse to move to forks. but stephenie could have thought up another reason.

There seemed to be a lot of pretty pointless characters. Lizzie, Phil (Bella's step dad), Mike Newton's mom, Eric Yorkie, Ben, Lauren. Basically everyone from school. Jessica was kind of important, but she wasn't really in the story enough to be a necessity. Angela has to be in there because I love her! She's amazing. But there just seemed to be a lot of characters in there for a few minutes, then nothing, and it was pointless.

wow! i never responded to this! i've had people tell me that lizzie is pointless, but heck no! lizzie is super important! her part might have been small, but it was definitely needed! she was there to show that no matter how important a girl was, that a werewolf could only imprint on the girl that they were supposed to imprint with! lizzie was perfect for jake, in everyway. but he couldn't imprint on her because he was meant for nessie.

The most pointless for me is HEIDI... Not pointless but kind of, i dont know, like waaay to lame

she is pretty pointless. or like... eric's girlfriend. what's her name... katie? haha.

I have to agree with all yall, people like Eric and Phil are real pointless. I think that maybe Harry Clearwater? IDK...he didnt do that much in the books...

Harry's death was kinda important. This was sorta a link to the "funeral" Charlie was arranging and Edward to think it was Bella's funeral. But, I'd rather have "someone else" died in Harry's place... Like... Hmmm... Billy?
