Michael Sheen? Cast as...Aro?

The Daily Mail is reporting that British actor Michael Sheen has been cast as Aro!

"Director Chris Weitz confirmed Sheen’s casting to The Mail on Sunday and said he had ‘aggressively’ pursued the actor.

‘Michael’s role is so important because he’s the head of all vampires,’ he said. ‘Aro is, on the surface, a very gracious and friendly vampire, but beneath that he is a tremendous threat."

i still say he looks too young, but whatever. could be worse!

Ewwww, he is just, EWWWWWW, but hey, it could be worse....

at least he look italian? the one they got to play caius looks like a freaking girl. i thought he looked like a girl in sweeney todd too.

I think Jamie (Caius) is a hottie, he is yum...

Having seen Caius now i thought for sure that Aro would have been younger then that....i dont know, i am getting more cornfused now....

ROFL! i didnt think one of the criteria for CAIUS should be hot though! rofl caius should be badass and scary! not a pretty boy. rofl. but heyyy if the decided to incorporate a volturi song and dance number theyd be all set.

And i was glad they made Caius hot, bad boys usually are pretty hot....So for me it was a criteria....lol.....im sure he will be able to pull it off....

I have never even heard of Michael Sheen before now though....i have heard of Charlie Sheen and some other Sheen who is Charlie Sheen's brother, but it isnt him, i know that much....

It would have been better if that Sheen guy played Caius & Jamie played Aro. But yeah, Caius should look hot. Bad guys should look hot. Draco is hot. Murtagh is hot. So Caius should be hot. Hale, Edward Cullen is HOTT and he thinks he's the bad guy.

And oh, Martin Sheen is Charlie Sheen's dad. Emilio Estevez is his bro... I dunno if they have another brother who has "Sheen" as last name, though. LOL. Is this Michael Sheen a relative?

I dont know if he is related to them....and that is Charlie's brothers name, Emilio, thanks for clearing that one, it was bugging me heaps since i posted before....lol...

And yes, someone who thinks bad boys are hot besides me, i dont know why, i just love them, and they usually are hot....

Guess we just have to wait and see how they do playing the Volturi....i really hope they do good, because i want to feel like i did when i was reading the books - a little intimidated by them.....lol....

Better this Sheen guy do good in portraying Aro. Or else, "I'll hunt him". I have a special place in my heart for Aro. LOL.

See, i like Aro and all that, but i still cant look past Caius, although i admit if there were a fight at the end of BD he could have been killed off, i dont know, maybe i liked him because he actually was trying to cause a fight....

But yes, add that to the Cullenese - i say that alot actually. There is always someone i want to hunt down almost everyday.

Caius should have died in BD. And if he did die in the book, I'd like it to be this Sheen guy. LOL. Not Jaime...

Oh yeah, ok, now i am glad Caius didnt die, i wouldnt have enjoyed seeing Jaime die on the movie when it came out....lol....

I just thought all vampire's were supposed to be at the least good looking, this Sheen guy isnt good looking to me at all....i cant complain though really, they are keeping Taylor and all the other wolves, are smoking hott!

He isn't good-looking, but I can imagine him playing the part really good, actually.

What has he done before, i need to see what kind of an actor he is before i decide if i thnik he will be able to do it....

But in the end it all comes down to when the movie finally comes out and we actually get to see...

I'm with you on the Jamie not dying part. LOL. I also think the Volturi vampires should be good looking & this Sheen guy doesn't look good to me, too. I can still imagine Ben Barnes as Aro. I've been in TwiFo long enough to see siggys and pics of him Aro.

Oh yeah, i think Ben Barnes is more how i invisioned Aro as well...

But i guess we dont get a say, we will just have to wait and see, hopefully a little make up and good acting will help Sheen fit the part.

I like him. At least, he is talented. And, remember, make-up artists do miracles.
He is not related to Charlie, Michael and Emilio. He used to date Kate Beckinsale and they have a dauther: Lily Mo Sheen.

although Michael is not how i pictured Aro i am sure he will do a good job. i think he is an excellent actor and will play the part well. i do think that this was a better casting then the guy who is playing Caius. i mean, i like Jaime. but it dont seem right to me. this does a little bit.

This is rather disappointing I think.....oh well.

And I like this Sheen dude. He's pretty Vulturi-esque in my opinion.

I'm thinking Sheen could be a good Aro. Just don't let him phase as the Underworld Lycan, Lucian.
