Before reading the book...

Before reading the book, what did you think New Moon meant? I didn't have any idea why SM used that title before I got to the Bella-catatonic-part.

I was thinking Werewolves, like the Lycan, children of the moon type....obviously i wasnt right....lol....

Me too. But then there was Eclipse, so I couldn't be sure. It all had to do with moons. Twilight, NM & Eclipse (partly sun). And BD of course would be the sun about to shine.

Well i had New Moon before Eclipse came out, i didnt even know what Eclipse was called, or if there was even another book in the series after that! LOL!

I love the name New Moon, it sounds so nice, it made me want to read it soooooooo bad....lol....and i have read it, over and over and over and over...

Maybe it's just my weird brain trying to understand something & being fully attentive about something that doesn't really need my full attention. Complicating simple things, that's me...

i read new moon before eclipse came out, so i didnt know the rest of the titles... but by new moon i thought that there was going to be a big change in bellas life and that a new moon would rise.... if that makes sence. i was pretty close! but i was still sooooooooo mad. the whole in my bedroom wall at my moms house will stand as a constant reminder to how mad/depressed i was when edward left.

LOL! i wasnt mad, i wasnt happy Edward was gone, but i got to learn and love more about Jacob in that book. It was awesomeness!



I think it is cool how the book titles match the stories....lol...some books dont do that....lol...

Exactly. I was actually looking for a quote that said something about New Moon. Like Twilight: "Twilight again. Another ending. No matter how perfect the day is, it always has to end." From Eclipse, that quote from Jacob: "I can handle the clouds, but I can't fight an eclipse." And BD... Hmmm... I forgot. LOL.

You know, sometimes in these situations I feel very weird cause I really don't make any expectation on things I don't know. I didn't have any visions on New Mon, not any expectations. I was just curious as I loved the first book

Before reading the book, i figured it has something to do with some kind of a change in Edward's and Bella's lives. But i didn't know he would leave her, and of course for her sake...so her strong friendship with Jake is a New chapter, a New Moon...and just like after the twilight that appears at the evening, a new moon comes...

I figured something bad was going to happen to Edward and Bella's relationship cause a New Moon cycle is no moon at all. No hint at regeneration until the next moon phase. I kinda figured that something bad was going to happen. But that said, each title can be "read" in a number of ways so each person will have a different take on how the titles are relevant just like the cover art can be interpreted differently.

I didn't even know what NM was about. Not even like any clue that Edward left. I guessed it was some random compliment Edward came up with, lol. I'm serious. I was just assuming it was something like that.
