The Host - The Book Empty The Host - The Book

Post  Mike Mon Apr 05, 2010 7:13 pm

So i went on a girls night out and this 19 year old said to me, i quote
' OMG The Host is so good. The way that Stephanie Meyer related it to the Twilight Saga was incredible.'
    - My response
' Uhmm darl, sorry to disappoint you but The Host has absolutly nothing to do with the Saga.' i the continued to rattle about what it was about.

    - Her response
'No you don't understand Mike, i know what i'm talking about i just finished reading it.'

    - My response
"Trust me, i'm the biggest fangirl around. i own every book, poster, bag, keyring and merchable item.'

    - Her response
'Whatever you homo, you shouldn't even be here.'

at that point i turned and walked away like the sensible person i am. After all a true twilight fan would know the difference between The Host and the Saga.

lol. some people are idiots. after i read the host i thought of a couple of similarities. it's been awhile... but mmmm jamie? the little brother? reminded me a LOT of seth. and melanie, leah. and there were a couple more. but i think that wasn't intentional lol. just my twilighty brain working overtime.

it wasn't just that she was totally ignoring what i was saying and refusing to believe me, it was that she also used my sexuality to try and get a bigger response out of me. i consider myself on of the girls as trying to get along with straight guys, i find very difficult so that's why i went along. but if it was me and her in the room i would have rearranged her face....permanantly!! :ninja: afroninja

OK, well I'll try and stick with it. Lucky for me the commute and the 50min coffee wait in the mornings are so dull that anything will do.

I'm agree with Mary, it's a bit boring in the begining but the story is getting more excitingat halfway, but worth to read it. And I read it my way to and back from school a year ago.

This week, my bag has been too full of stuff like umbrellas and hoodies, so can't fit The Host in without bending the pages, and I hate doing that to brand new shiny intact books.

I am still reading The Host Laughing it's been a half a year or more Laughing

I don't know, but it goes sooooo slow. Maybe cause it's on comp but then again I've read Hush Hush fast. When I sit by it, I happen to read maybe just 2 chapters. For me it's seems boring cause everything happens in one place and no action, more it's just the relationships between each other.
