When Typing a Message...

I've noticed an increase in typing using shortened words lately, and I just felt the need to comment on it.

Not all the Cullenates are native English speakers guys. It makes it expecially difficult for them to understand when you shorten your words. For example... when you type u instead of you, kno instead of know, every1 instead of everyone, neways instead of anyways. You need to watch stuff like that! It could be confused as another word. Also, to be completely honest, it makes you look unintellegent. =X! We don't want you to type things perfectly, because that would be unrealistic and wrong of us to expect! Just be respectful of everyone, and try not to short-hand words too much, okay? Thanks!

I have to say English is not my native language and slangs still makes me to be confused. I also noticed ppl in here (maybe not between regular posters) from not English speaking countries says sorry for their English by telling their English not good. Slang like those makes it even harder for them to read. So I fully would Mary on this

I also agree! And my first language is English. It's extremely hard to read, even for me. It's slightly inconsiderate as well, especially after we've posted this. So... please, do as our dear Mary says.

I agree. Not all of us understand shortened words. I think also not all of us are into texting, so they may not know what it means.

Anyway, if you don't understand some things that were written, you can always ask. We'll let Sparxy read their minds to know what they really mean. LOL.

I find it easier to type fully (90 words a minute, give or take five) than I do to type in l33tsp34k or txt tlk. I don't understand why people use it as a 'timesaver', because it isn't really. I tend to do it while texting as well - while character limit is certainly just that; limiting, I can generally say all I want to in that short space of time.

That's right. There's no limitation on the number of letters we write here, so just leave texting to the cellphone. And leetspeak? It's not necessarily typed/written th1s w@y, u kn0...

That just took me 10 minutes to try and figure out what neways meant, LOL, even though, clearly Mary wrote anyways right after it. Wow, last time i drink up all night and then wake up at 9 after 2 hours sleep and with a massive hangover! LOL! and i am going to go through it again with my party next weekend! WOOOO!

As long as you get enough sleep. I got 2 hours sleep. And now my hangover is here. LOL! So make sure you get lots of sleep. Because, a friend of mine couldnt sleep, and she was in the spare room watching Twilight when i came back out of the room, i was too hot and couldnt keep sleeping even if i wanted to, and she looks at me and says - Tennille you look like a vampire, you would be a totally hot vampire...



And i am like - noooo, i wouldnt make a hot vamp, and i am only this pale because i was sick with the flu before we even started drinking, and the reason my eyes are so dark are not because i am hungry, it is because i havent slept, then the blood on my lip wasnt actually blood, it was just red stains on my lips from the alochol i was drinking last night!

And I am starting to miss my bf lol I called him, he's still awake as well although it's 3:30am. He's with his friends out of the city. I called him and told if he would be here we would make some bang bang together lol He told if he would know I am in the mood of that he would have stayed lol

Now I wanna draw but I am almost too drunk. I am afraid to destroy the drawing lol But at least I still can type lol
