Why you switched teams? :D

IF you have switched. I know some of you did and mentioned it here and there before but there never been a thread about it, I think. So what is the reason that made you to make the switch?

As far as I know you started to be in one team when you read the book. Did the movie influenced your decision?

And for those who hasn't switched, what do you think about the fact that ppl switched teams cause of the movie, not the book. Like ppl becoming Team Jake just cause Taylor has nice body lol

well then you already KNOW my opinion. but i'll give it anyways.

it is disgusting and completely shallow to judge someone by their appearance. grow up. you should NOT be team edward because rob is a sexy beast. and you should not be team jacob because taylor has a nice body! you are supposed to be on a team for the CHARACTER. because you like the character for them and because you like their personality. it's like all the girls on team edward before the movie... "because edward's so SEXYYYY!" NO! bs! if that's the only reason you like a character or ANYONE for that matter than you need to get your head checked.

But I do agree with you. I am not talking about specific ppl in this forum, but in general. Like we all imagined Edward and Jake while reading the book, their appearance, the way how they talk or move. And then after the movie some ppl may start to think "Oh no, I chanced my mind, Jake/ Edward is better" and they convert. It's not not better. He is the same how you imagined them while reading the book. The movie presents what they imagined, what they are presenting to you. The other possibilities, their imaginations.

There's also ppl who started to feel more pity for Jake after New Moon, I guess. But their feelings again is based on actors, the way they play and the way director sets it to look like. The real character is in the book thought. It's born in the book, not in the movie. So I think ppl shouldn't switch cause of the movie for these reasons.

But I'm also not denying that there's ppl who switched for different reasons. Like we all change, we may start to see different things in different characters that we haven't seen before. But I do hope it's also based on characters in the book.

I do believe those two things goes pretty close and it's hard to separate them now.

I have not changed sides, even if I can say the Embry in the film is cute. BUT I'm still Team Edward toujors pour!!!

He's the epitome of fawesomeness. He makes my heart melt everytime. Whatever he does. And I must say, his looks are a major plus. Not only Rob, but most especially the book description. And his personality is something I can relate with/to. His character is perfect for me. He's the guy I know I can live with for the rest of my life/existence. I will be exceptionally happy and thankful if I have him as a husband. Really.

Yeah I will never change Team Swiss all the way!!! I love Edward and Jacob and can't make my mind up, I decided that from the first time of reading the series and the films make me even more Team Swiss I just love the series lol

Here's what happened to me. I've been Team Jake for as long as I can remember, since reading the books and during Twilight the movie. BUT, in New Moon there were a few parts where I was like "Omg, Edward...are you really that amazing?" or "jake you just aint that cool." LMAO! Edward basically blew me away in New Moon, much more than in Twilight, but overall still Team Jake.

I think the two biggest Team swaps have been me and StepSis actually. We both went from VERY Team Edward to Team Jasper.
I don't know why Soph changed but, for me, the more I re-read the series, the more Edward and some of his more romantic lines and scenes became somewhat cliched. Maybe because I'd read it so much that it no longer seemed as sweet. Jaspie grew on me, as I started to prefer him and Alice's relationship. Their relationship is more understated but on a deeper level for me. Plus Alice>Bella. So it started like that. I started to prefer Jasper and Alice scenes. Then, the more I read about Jasper, subtler things kicked in. Like his relationship with Bella, and how sweet he was to her in the motel in Phoenix. And the way he describes Alice in Eclipse when he tells his history.
And I'll be honest, Jackson>Rob helped too.

I changed my team to Emmett, mainly because I used to see the thing as black or white, it was Jake or Edward... And between those in my mind Edward was better, but I never LOOOOOOOOVED him insanely; it was like I said choosing between only 2 options. But then when I started to read the other books I was like: "SHIT, Emmett is how I picture a perfect guy" or "Edward suffers too much, TURN HER DAMN IT" "Emmett would have changed her already"

He is much more easygoing and think of everything as a positive thing, or having fun in any way.

So I guess thats why I change teams, just because when you go Emmett you dont go back

I used to be team Jasper because I like him in NM but when I started to read Eclipse and Breaking Dawn and Midnight Sun, and saw the movie again and again I just liked Emett more and more so I swicthed team Jasper to team Emett. Coz he is the most funniest in the book!!!

I was always Team Swiss, not because I couldn't choose or didn't want to choose I just liked the personalities of the different characters equally.

Then when I read Eclipse and my heart melted for Jasper. It was the biggest ah-ha moment in my life thus far. My world stopped once I fully embraced all that Jasper could bring to a girl's life- never ending compassion, an upspoken hint of danger, an air of mystery surrounding his past that you just NEEDED to unravel, a vulnerability that can and did make me cry, he's deep and he's not afraid to really feel emotions *sigh* Jackson was just the icing on the cake for me. But Hale, that's some damned good icing right there hahaha

Thus I founded Team Jasper and Partner and Soph came over to the Dark Side (We don't just have cookies you know )... YAY for Team Jasper!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

no fights start as long as you aren't like "team jasper is better cause so and so is stupid and sucks." hahaha. of course everyone thinks their team is best lol! we're all ALSO very protective of our men lol.

But we love each other so much that we are ok with sharing them between us. So weird xD

we are really just one weird bunch of people though lol... and I don't like fighting anyways so you know...

Well, i never changed teams, i have been Team Jacob since i read the books....and i definatly aint changing teams, even if someone who wasnt so hot was playing Jacob, i would still love him. It is just a bonus that Taylor was the love of my life before all this! LOL!

But yeah, i hate when people change Teams or start to like Jacob for example, just because he had a totally smoking hot body in NM! A couple of my friends have done that....which is not cool, as they all didnt like Jacob, and they all claimed they didnt like Taylor as well...so people shouldnt be like that! LOL!

Nearly everyone has done that since NM, Tenny. No-one I knew was Team Jake before NM and Taylor, but suddenly he gets all buff and they're like OMG OMG OMG I've always loved Taylor, he's my favouriiiite!! *gags*

Note: Gagging not because of Taylor or Jake but because I hate fangirls who jump on the bandwagon.
