From an objective viewpoint, the Star Trek movie was much better than the Twilight movie. Chris Pine plays an awesome Kirk. All the Shatnerisms are gone; he's just a aggressive alpha male captain now. The casting for the other characters was also brilliant. I would recommend this movie to anyone.

You should see it. Not only does it crap all over Rick Berman's shoddy attempts to hold an audience for longer than 5 minutes, it also brings a refreshing change to sci-fi. The visual effects, especially in space, are completely astounding.
The lens flare, however, should have been dropped.

Yea, i thought Zachary Quinto did a GREAT job!! And Chris Pine too...Spock was kinda hot in the movie lol i thought his character was bad donkey-butt!
Ive never watched an episode of Star Trek, but i kinda got the whole idea of how the characters are, some of my friends are really into Star Trek, buut watching the movie, i freaking LOVED it!!
It has tons of action, from beginning to end, and i was never bored through out the entire movie...i almost cried in a few parts as well!!
And i didnt know Winona Ryder was supposed to be in Star Trek either, i kinda recognized her, but when i looked it up on imdb.com i was like..."holy cow that WAS her!"
And trust me, my boyfriend isnt a fan either, i had to force him to watch it with me, but, he REALLY liked it and was glad that i made him watch it! lol

wow that sounds pretty good. I was never a fan of the TV show. It was way too geeky-fied for me. But Zachary Quinto is an amazing actor. I remember thinking that the first time I saw him as Sylar. And Chris Pine is gorgeous! I keep seeing the posters and then berating myself for finding Spock and Kirk hot!
