Did anybody feel this way?

Remember in BD when Bella tells everyone what she's going to name the baby? EJ? Can you just imagine the way Edward felt when she was going to name the kid AFTER Jake too? Did anyone else feel terribly sorry for Edward?

No, not really, my middle name is Lee, which is my mum's best friend, who just happens to be her ex boyfriends name (they were together before she and my dad, obviously) and it didnt affect them at all....

Ok, maybe i felt a little sorry for him, but then i thought, he has forever to get over it anyway, so i didnt really see the problem in it....

When Bella first said if it was a boy she would name it EJ, i thought she meant Edward Junior....lol...until of course she said Edward Jacob....

But that dont even sound good, that sounds BAD.....i mean, i HATE the name Renesmee (i cant say it properly, i always seem to stutter lol) but i didnt like the name Edward Jacob even more, it just didnt sounds good together, so i was glad she had a girl (well for about 5 minutes anyway lol then i threw the book lol)

i felt horrible for him. bella didnt think throughout the beginning of breaking dawn though, and that was the problem.

I thought it was Eward Junior, too. When I read Edward Jacob. I was like , then I got all for Edward. I don't know what she was thinking. Grrrrr...

I know! Poor Edward! That name sounds terrible, even worse than Renessmee!

jacob edward sounds better, but i would have punched her in the face if she named him that.

Yeah Jacob Edward does sound better, but i also would have been a bit angry if she had a boy and named him that, because even though it dont bother me personally, i still respect the fact she is with Edward. And it probably would have hurt him.

I think Renesmee sounds better. If you pronounce it right, it actually sounds really pretty. It's like this, (RA-NEZ-MAY).

Yeah, i just can never say it properly, i tried to the first time i read the books, but then when i re-read them i gave up and just changed it to Tennille everytime someone said it....It made me happy, everytime Jacob said it, it was like it was me....ahahahaha

I thought that too. It's not a bad name. Edward Junior of course. Edward Jacob would have me remembering of the love triangle forever so I don't like it. I love the baby's name. Renesmee Carlie. It's really nice and I like how Bella played with the names.

Rai - it was funny because when dad had read the books through we were talking, he always rang me and was like - OMG Tennille, guess what just happened, and anyway, when the baby was born and it was a girl, dad was like, i like Renesmee, it is a pretty name, and i was like, who is Renesmee? (and the he laughed because i really cant say it, it is like my tounge just twists over itself or something)....then i told him about me changing her name to Tennille. So he went and grabbed the book and was reading the part at the end of Jacob's POV....lol...and he hasnt stopped ripping on me since, every time i see him he is like - so Tennille- are you still the one thing holding Jacob to this earth....

Oh and, yeah, i like how Bella played with the names as well, i just can say it, everyone i know is like, Tennille it is Renesmee, it is not that hard, but i just cant say it...

No, not really. Jacob is ridiculously loyal to Bella. In fact, loyal to the point that he would have been a tragic figure had he not imprinted on Renesmee, giving him a new purpose. It's obvious just from reading Twilight that Bella is never going to give up on Edward. Ever. I read through New Moon and Eclipse thinking, "Jacob is totally hosed." Given all the pain Jacob is put through, the least he could get is a middle name.

But would YOU want to have a child with your wife's ex's name? r even her bestfriend's name & you know she is inlove with him, too AND especially if that ex/best friend was a formidable foe or rival?!?! Ouch!!!

That was expected from Bella, she's like that...that's her personality...and i dnt think Edward would have got mad about it, he understands her, and knows how she thinks, he knows her personality..

i was like i know thats her bff but come on she just admitted not too long ago that she loved jake too that must have killed ed inside

I think in the end, Edward really realizes what a great guy Jacob is. Remember most of Jake's stupid mistakes come from the fact that he is 16/17 and Bella is his first love!

Edward admitted to being jealous once. Edward may understand Bella & her feelings for Jake, but hey, Edward's first love is Bella, too. It is expected that he'd feel something like that towards the baby name. Especially since it's HIS baby and NOT Jake's.

Yea i kinda felt like that disrespected Edward, but at the same time, if it wasnt for Jake, they wouldnt be able to leisure around and think of baby names because they would have had to either run or fight the wolves...and Jake was such a big part in Bellas life that i think its appropriate...its like she would have named her son after the two people she would want her son to turn out to be like...you know?

I doubt that was her reason for naming the kid after Edward AND Jake. She wanted to name the kid after the 2 guys she loved. UGHHHH!!! If I was the kid, I'll change my name ASAP, right after they tell me the whole story. I'd keep my dad's name. I'm not keeping my mom's sort-of-ex-boyfriend-bestfriend's name. No. Especially since that's one reason why my dad was distraught for a while. Even if my mom's bestfriend is sorta like an angel for her. No way. If Edward was my dad, I'll stick to his name alone. Hale, I am a Cullen. Not a Black.

im a way it sort of was like she was naming the baby after two people she loved to make her love the baby more than she already thot she did

it wasnt just bella's decision anyway. it should have been just as much edwards decision. on what to name the baby i mean.

ya and edward is a man of tradition so he would have leaned to edward anthony like his name and his fathers.
